The Indian spirits market has changed rapidly in recent years. As more and more people earn higher incomes, move to cities and develop new tastes, India’s love for different types of drinks has grown. Young people in particular are looking for new experiences and trying a variety of spirits that go beyond traditional choices. Here’s a look at the drinks currently gaining popularity in India and why people love them.
Today’s Indian consumer is exploring a wide range of spirits, from classic favorites to modern, innovative options. Premiumization is an important trend, as more and more people are willing to pay for higher quality and unique flavors. This is especially true in urban centers, where consumers like to try spirits that offer something new.
Gin, whisky, tequila, rum and flavored vodkas are leading the way in this evolving market. The demand for this spirit shows that Indian drinkers are becoming increasingly curious and open to experimenting with what’s in their glass.

Gin: Gin has made a big comeback in India. Although gin has a long history here, it has become popular again thanks to its fresh, botanical flavors and ease of mixing into cocktails. It’s clear that Indian drinkers are becoming more thoughtful about what they choose, focusing on quality, convenience and care for the environment.
